Ryan Connon is an experienced professional with over 14 years experience in Information Technology focusing on Information Security and System Architecture & Design along with IT Project Management. Ryan has served as Chief Security Officer for multiple organizations with particular experience in the financial and state government agency sectors.
Mr. Connon currently serves as the President of the Infragard Maine Member's Alliance, which is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and private Subject Matter Experts for the protection of the nation's critical infrastructures (Telecommunications, Transportation, Computer Security, Banking/Finance, Energy, Defense, Agriculture, Chemical, Postal/Shipping, Emergency Services, Public Health, Food & Water Supply). Ryan also plays a critical role in the national organization as a delegate to the National Congress.

Ryan has extensive experience in network security, network development and operations, security planning and implementation, policy development, project
management, client server and web development, business strategic planning,
technology planning and integration and disaster recovery/business resumption planning.
He has been the lead architect for real-time disaster recovery solutions for a variety of clients in multiple industries focusing on the actual business objectives driving disaster recovery/business resumption projects and designing technological solutions that fit the needs of each organization.
He also has extensive experience in designing enterprise-grade networks and retro-fitting existing networks in a variety of industries. With his technical skill and project management experience, Mr. Connon has completed multiple projects on or ahead of schedule and on or under budget.
As a pilot and instructor, Ryan has an intimate knowledge of the aviation industry and infrastructure & security requirements surrounding both general and commercial aviation.
Ryan continues to teach at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine delivering capstone-level network design, implementation, systems administration and network security courses. Ryan is currently working to design a new network security curriculum for the collegiate level and while at other institutions, Ryan was involved in the planning stages of the Northeast Center for Computer & Information Systems Security (NECCISS).
Ryan continues to attend and present at conferences on the topics of Information Security, Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption and Incident Response.
Ryan holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Masters of Science from Thomas College.
